Our guests are always surprised to find that their cabin looks exactly as shown on our website. We take care to assure that the photos displayed on the site truly provide a clear, up-to-date and accurate visual presentation of each unique cabin. We pride ourselves on the homey nature of our cabins so that you, our guests, feel right at home.
CHECK AVAILABILTY :
From the Home page, look for the Cabin Search box on the right side of the page. Enter your check-in date, number of nights you want to stay, the number of adults, and the number of children. Then click the Search Cabins button. All cabins meeting your criteria will be listed on the results page. The Cabin Search box also appears on the individual cabin pages, as well. CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT TIMES / PROCEDURES:
Check-in time is 3:00 PM or later. Checkout time is 11:00 AM. We cannot accommodate late checkouts because of the quick turnover of our cabins in order to have them ready for our next guests, however, we will work with you to accommodate an early check-in. We know you are excited to begin your getaway. We offer direct check in at the cabins so you may arrive at any hour. We do expect you to make time before departing to leave your cabin in the condition in which you found it, with the dishes washed and the trash in proper receptacles. Please secure the cabin when departing. Our rental agreement is online and in the cabins. It describes in detail what is expected of you during your stay and provides phone numbers in case you need assistance during or after business hours.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your dates. No refunds are allowed within 14 days or less of check-in, and a $50 cancellation fee will apply if you must cancel within this time frame. We will work with you to reschedule your dates, if you have an unexpected change of plans.
LOCATION:
Our cabins are located on individually owned, private and secluded properties in the surrounding areas. We strive to maintain the seclusion of the cabins so that you can have your own private haven while you are here. In some areas, you can walk right out your door to hiking trails, beautiful rock formations and fishing lakes.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY:
Each cabin has a maximum number of guests allowed, due to fire regulations. NO OVERNIGHT VISITORS ARE ALLOWED.
SMOKING:
Smoking is prohibited at ALL cabins. Smoking is permitted outside on the decks, but pleae dispose of butts properly in trash and do not flick off decks. Fires are a constant threat in the area. Please respect our properties, and do not litter the area with cigarette butts.
PETS:
Because some guests have severe pet allergies, any pet that is found in a "non-pet friendly" cabin will result in immediate eviction and an additional $200.00 pet cleaning fee. If you reserve a "pet friendly" cabin, there will be a one time charge of $50.00 per pet, with a two-pet limit. Your pet must be crated when left in the cabin unattended, or eviction will occur with no money refunded.
WHAT IS SUPPLIED AT YOUR CABIN:
All of our cabins are completely furnished. The kitchens are fully equipped with a refrigerator, stove, coffee maker and a microwave. Most cabins also have dishwashers. The kitchens are equipped with basic cookware, dishes, glasses, mugs, utensils, pots and pans. We provide a STARTER SUPPLY ONLY of toilet tissue (2 rolls), dish washing liquid, trash bags (3). Please bring more dependent on number in your group and length of stay or if you expect to use the washing machine to wash several loads of clothes. Cabins with dishwashers will also have dishwasher tablets. If there is a specialty item you need for cooking, we suggest you bring it with you. Bed linens, hand towels, dish towels are provided. We ask you to bring bath towels or to pick them up at our office located about 6 miles from our cabins. Each cabin has either a gas or a charcoal grill. Satellite TV is provided, however often it is unreliable due to the heavily forested area so we recommend you bring video's and dvd's if indoor entertainment is necessary. Most cabins have DVD players.
SUGGESTED ITEMS TO BRING:
Food (including coffee/tea), bath soap, bath towels, paper towels, toiletries, shampoo, DVDs, beach towels, sunscreen, flashlight, games and books, camera, binoculars, hiking boots, bug spray, and matches. All of our cabins have county (public) water. We do have board games and video's at the office available for rent at a nominal fee.
HOT TUBS:
Most of the property owners have installed hot tubs for their personal use. Owners allow guests to use these hot tubs at their own risk, with the knowledge that they are in no way regulated or approved by the Powell County Health Department. We strive to provide clean and sanitized conditions. We ask that you abide by the hot tub procedures, rules and precautions posted at each hot tub. If the hot tub rules are not adhered to, there will be an additional charge (minimum $200) to the credit card on file or claimed against the security deposit for the expense of the draining and cleaning of the hot tub. If the hot tub cover is damaged, broken or dented in; there will be a $400 replacement cost charged to your credit card.
HOUSEKEEPING:
We do not provide daily maid service. Your cabin will be cleaned especially for you prior to your arrival. We will do everything we can to make sure your cabin is ready for your stay. It is our mission to provide you the cleanest cabin in all of the Red River/Natural Bridge area so that you will become a guest for a lifetime. However, during our busy season, there may be rare occasions when your cabin might not be fully presentable by 3 pm or when your hot tub won’t be warm until later in the evening, please accept our apology. Remember, these are rare occasions.
DISH NETWORK:
All of our cabins have satellite televisions and most have DVD/VCR players. From time to time, satellite TV, appliances, hot tubs & gas fireplaces will break down or malfunction, or minor repairs may be needed. While we cannot refund any monies due to these issues that may be beyond our control, we will respond as quickly as we can to make repairs and assure your stay is comfortable. At times your needs will not be responded to until the next day. We do recommend you bring video's or dvd's in case your satellite system goes out.
FIREPLACES:
Almost all of our cabins have some type of fireplace. Gas and wood burning fireplaces are seasonal. Gas fireplaces are turned off beginning the first weekend in April and turned on in October. If you are not familiar with gas fireplaces please read the instructions posted in the cabin. Since pilot lights are generally on all you need to do is turn up the flame. Gas fireplaces are checked each week and kept operational so if it is not working, generally it is due to operator inexperience. Please be patient and read instructions carefully.
PHONES/CELL PHONES:
Our cabins do not have telephones. You may or may not have cell phone service in the area, due to the hills and forest. We suggest bringing a prepaid calling card with you for long distance calls. Generally, cell phones will work at higher points and on decks. Or drive into Stanton or Slade where there is coverage.
GROCERY STORES:
The nearest grocery store is Kroger’s in Stanton, approximately 8 miles from your cabin. There are a few convenience stores located in Slade, just a few miles from your cabin.
WOODLAND CREATURES AND INSECTS:
We do have our cabins exterminated, but they are not bug proof. Please remember you are in the forest, and we have invaded the habitat of insects native to the area, so chances are you will see insects and spiders and wasps. You most likely will encounter various woodland creatures such as deer, wild turkey, raccoons, squirrels and a wide variety of birds for bird watching. Please do not feed or approach wildlife. Do not leave food out at night, or you may have uninvited guests at your cabin. BEWARE: This is snake country, so be very careful on your hikes. Wear heavy boots and thick jeans to protect yourself.
WINTER WEATHER:
Our cabins are open year round. Winter is one of the most beautiful seasons in the hills, with the forest open to view the ridges, rocks and wildlife. Some of the driveways are steep so we do recommend 4 wheel drive in winter. No refunds are are permitted due to unexpected inclement weather - but come on out, bring plenty of food and necessities, and plan to get snowed in with us! Four wheel drive is highly recommended in winter. While roads are contracted out for snow removal it may not always be done on your departure day. We do offer late check outs during the winter to allow roads a chance to melt and will even offer a free night stay if roads are not passable or hazardous on your departure day. Luckily, icy winter storms are rare.
HUNTING, FIREARMS AND FIREWORKS:
Hunting, firearms (including paintball and air guns) and fireworks are NOT permitted on any of our properties.
SWIMMING AND FISHING:
We do not have swimming pools at our cabins. A few cabins have ponds for fishing. There is an outdoor swimming pool (seasonal) at the Natural Bridge State Resort Park located on Route 11 that is available for public use for a small daily fee.
If you have any questions, please give us a call at (606) 663-0005. We will be more than happy to assist you.
